Answers to Common Beginner Questions
What should I wear?
Wear loose, comforable clothes, such as a t-shirt and sweat pants. Jeans and shorts are not allowed. You will be working barefoot for much of the class, but adults should bring a good pair of gym shoes (crosstrainers are a good choice) for agility drills. Make sure your pants don't drag on the floor, and your sleeves don't cover your hands.
I took karate somewhere else/I had a friend who took karate. Can I wear that karate uniform?
Feel free to wear it for now. You can get a Ronin Karate uniform after you've been in the program for a couple of months.
What else do I need to bring?
Bring a plastic or other unbreakable water bottle.
Where do I get a password for the rest of the site?
We will pass out an information flyer at the first class. The password and user name will be on that.
Do I have to come to the introductory classes?
Yes. We set aside a week of classes so you will get more attention while you learn your basic techniques. We can't give you this kind of individualized attention when the more advanced students are here, because it would take away from their instruction time and wouldn't be fair to them.
